Three Generations of Great Taste
The Davis family has restored fine dining at Fox Ridge with a neighborhood restaurant and bar.

Three generations of the Davis Family  - Thelma Davis, Greg  Davis, and Adam Johnson - have brought back favorites from Big D and D Barn Restaurants as well as new American classic cuisine.

Thelma and her late husband, Jim, opened the Tastee Freez in 1961. They moved on to an independent drive-in Big D and later D Barn Restaurant.  Having grown up in the business, Greg joined in management of the Big D and continued to work with D Barn Restaurant  through 1999. His wife, Anita, assists with the back office and daughter, Lindsay,  is a server.

Born in Newton and raised in Junction City, Adam had five years food service experience while attending Kansas State University. In 2006 he earned his degree in kinesiology and began a career in personal fitness  training.  In 2009 he earned an associates in Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts from Western Culinary Institute in Portland, Oregon.
