Three Generations of Great Taste

Thelma and her late husband, Jim, opened the Tastee Freez in 1961. They moved on to an independent drive-in Big D and later D Barn Restaurant.  Having grown up in the business, Greg joined in management of the Big D and continued to work with D Barn Restaurant  through 1999. His wife, Anita, assists with the back office and daughter, Lindsay,  is a server.

 

Born in Newton and raised in Junction City, Adam had five years food service experience while attending Kansas State University. In 2006 he earned his degree in kinesiology and began a career in personal fitness  training.  In 2009 he earned an associates in Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts from Western Culinary Institute in Portland, Oregon. Adam created our menu and served as kitchen manager and Head Chef for our first two years.
